Britannia Soap Machinery Ltd. have made toilet soap finishing a particular speciality, by carefully improving the design of every piece of machinery in the line. Lines supplied with a Pneumatic Soap Noodles Transfer System use highly accurate metering valves, high capacity blowers, large static free pipes and robust joints to transfer soap noodles further, faster and with more accuracy than competing designs. Britannia Soap Noodle Weighers utilise simple robust and modern electronic sensors which avoid problems and inaccuracy caused by soap dust accumulation, which is inherent with other systems that persist in using mechanical measurement.
Our Perfume Dosing Systems use precision metering pumps ,with variable stroke pistons, coupled to surge dampers. This gives unequalled accuracy in controlling the percentage of this very expensive ingredient, incorporated into the soap. Britannia Marbelising Systems also use similar pumps coupled in series and incorporating fine mesh filters, which provides accurate and reliable injection of marbelising slurries into the soap stream.
The Britannia Mixer Amagamator is a U trough, bottom discharge design, with length, width and height proportions particularly designed for soap. Features can include bottom or tipping discharge, single or twin trough, scimitar or anchor pattern blades, jackets for heating or cooling and top lids to suit the individual customer’s needs. Our Three Roll Mill is a very heavy solid design, with parallel ground, cast iron rolls, driven by heavy gears and a large motor. Rolls are hollow for water cooling. The central roll is fixed position, whilst the lower and upper rolls are adjustable. This provides accurate control of the milling gaps and thus ensure full refining of the soap on a single pass. The lift off knife is fitted with a crimping bar, to ensure refined soap flakes are easily discharged into the following machine. Britannia Plodders use a heavy strong and utterly reliable, clutchless mechanical drive system, giving a fully variable output. Our slow speed deep flight screw design delivers absolutely first class refining by creating high internal pressure during extrusion to fully compress the soap bar.
Our automatic cutters are single blade, high speed fully variable units using a scimitar slicing action, to part the soap with the utmost accuracy. Cut speeds of over 400 per minute and gram accurate billet weights always ensure the industry standard expectations are exceeded. Britannia Finishing Lines can be supplied with our automatic stampers capable of pressing from 50 bars to 400 bars per minute. Four types of soaps can be auto stamped, single seam, side banded, transparent and detergent bar. Our soap moulds are made in one, two, three, four and six cavity, with refrigeration and automatic soap bar ejection.
